This is an UESUGI UTY-5 power amp. It is equipped with EL34/6CA7 tubes for push/pull mono power. One of features of the UESUGI amps is that tubes' characteristics are immediately reflected upon the reproduced sound, as is the case of an anniversary model UTY-5s. The UTY-5s is a special model of the UTY-5 and it can reproduce powerful sound of KT-88 tubes right away. On the other hand, the UTY-5 is fit for EL34 tube sound. The sound reproduced is really soft, easy to listen and sensitive. Its high resolution is nothing but the one that only a mono amp can provide. |

The UTY-5 is equipped with four EL34 tubes, two 12AX7 tubes and two 12AU7 tubes. It is also one of this amp's selling points that the reproduced sound dramatically changes depending on the maker of its mounted tubes. In addition, these are TESRA 12AX7 tubes. Though they are comparatively new models, they can reproduce balanced sound and have been popular. Of course, you can enjoy sound variation by inserting these tubes in an amp other than the UTY-5.
