I am Itoh of the Akihabara shop. What should we do with JAZZ for as it is sounding? This is the reason by which I began the audio, and is its subject that I am still a trial-and-error now. There are many ‘How to sound' Jazz, Want the same-size of real, or, want Katuun, Katuun of cymbal. In my case, I want that Dark atmosphere and reproduction of high-tension. If we want to sound Jazz, we say ALTEC, and A7, or A5. But this time, I wrote the ALTEC 8 inch coaxial speakers, that usual person could enjoy themselves at a general home. |

Speaking of the 8 inch coaxial, 409B is famous for the speaker systems called DIG. (Up photograph) If I listened to it, I am sure, the range is no so high, It has sounded the essence of JAZZ well. Although it is said that 409 series has a noisy high range, I have the impression that the high range of 409B has not extended so much. I think that it is making the sound it does not feel noisiness. However, this is a talk when hearing JAZZ, If we listen to the new Pop sound etc. I can say newer 409-8E is easy to hear it. Because high range is extended more. [It is slightly noisy on the other hand]. |

On the other hand, the unit 409-8D has there between E and B. (Up photograph). Although it is near 409-8E (Down photograph), But this sound is (my impression) as the same as the 409B. I think 409B is popular in these series not only this sound but also that form and ALTEC green. This is the comment which remove 409B (attached original in the box of DIG), and attach to 409-8E. However, if I see the inside of the box of DIG, it is only a bus reflex box that disappoint truly. You are surely unsatisfactory low-range. If it puts into a firm larger box, 409-8E will also sound. (I think the ultra bus flex box of JENSEN is very good). |

Now, if I listen to only this, it is a very good sound. However, I want darker atmosphere. I want to search for the unit next time. |
