Hi, I am Hisae at Akihabara Store. This week I talk a little about the Tannoy's AUTOGRAPH. Those typical speakers that self-assert as if saying "I am here offering sound" are all right, I think, but personally I prefer furniture-like speakers. Originally, the Japanese arranged their rooms simply with furniture and belongings hidden inside. It might be a method to maximize the narrow space of Japanese houses. For such a Japanese room, audio designers made furniture-like speakers which assert only its sound and never its material substance. Personally I think such design and the Japanese ancient room-making have something in common and are fashionable, so I have decided to report on this topic. How about listening to Shino-bue (traditional Japanese pipe) solo as well as classic music via this AUTOGRAPH, feeling the traditional Japanese concept of "space"?
Next, I report on the JBL's L101. As soon as I had listened to jazz sound via this speaker, I was amazed at the thick and funky sound as if it were being played in front of me on the golden saxophone by an African American. The sound seemed a little bit too thick, but this original sound, which is thoroughly clear and rich, is worth listening!!
