In this season, Japanese people are busy in preparing for Nengajo.
Nengajo is a kind of greeting postcard for the New Year.
People send Nengajo to friends, family, relatives, staffs at work
each other.
There are many design of Nengajo , but the most popular one is
the design of the zodiacal animal for the year. The animal for the
year 2004 is the monkey.
Christmas cards are delivered before Christmas day, but Nengajo should
not arrive before New Year's day and it should be delivered on
January 1st by tradition. Therefore postmen are very busy on the
New Year's day.
