Mr. Fumio Karashima, who is a Jazz Pianist introduced by Cappuccino,
is now busy for Autumn Live Concert.
His live in Nagoya Blue Note is scheduled on November 3.

1.IPPIN GUIDE - "McIntosh XRT26" by Kenji Kondo and Hiroyuki Satake.

XRT is a symbol of high-end speaker which I watched at the audio exhibition.
It seems to be perfect that XRT should be connected to MC1202 tube power
amplifier and C200 control amplifier.
XRT might be a suitable speaker for 50 inches home theater
because its tall design fits large display .

1) Tweeter Column

XRT feature is aluminum dome tweeter with high accuracy.
Wide dynamic range and high response insisted by McIntosh is available
with it.
The balance between mid range and woofer unit in all volume level
has been performed.

2)Bass Unit

Cone typed mid range unit with 20.3cm reproduce the main range of music
and 2 units of woofer with 30.5 cm cover the same range of sub-woofer.
Each unit reduce greatly the distortion by the patent LD/HP magnetic circuit.
Enclosure is separated and subtle adjustment can be available according to the
condition of the listening room by its versatility.
Biwiring, biamplifier , triwiring and triamplifier can be driven without electronic
crossover network.

XRT 26 is produced by the sophisticated craftsmanship of McIntosh.

2.CD Picks of the week - Healing Music"

Are you feeling sort of tired at the turn of the season?
The feature of this week is "Piano Trio".
Mr. Kondo recommends "Winter Sonata" by Gary Versace.
which will make you relaxed and heal your strain.
Ms. Cappuccino recommends "Madorigal" by Chihiro Yamanaka which
will clear your head.

3.Walking around Akihabara by Taro Akibara

I finally reached the conclusion that it should be better to improve amplifier's
performance than to spend money on cables through my experience.
Therefore, I would like to talk about amplifiers again.
First I made 6V6 monaural amplifier, so now I try to make stereo one.
One transformer is Sansui brand produced in 1956 and
another one is present type transformer. So, it seems to sound different slightly
through speaker. I use present type transformer in both speakers in order to
make them equal sound quality.
I could not find 6V6 SANSUI amplifier produced in 1956 though I looked for the
same one at many shops. There is difference in
clearness of sound quality between Sansui transformer and present one.
I decided to make stereo amplifier by present transformer.
I ordered 2 units of power transformer and put them into one chassis.
I used "Hashimoto" output transformer same as before. Other parts will be
available in my stock. I went to Akihabara to find condenser, however, I could
not find Bita Q oil condenser. Finally I bought Japanese oil condenser which
price is one tenth of Bita Q. I got electrolytic condenser of Atom at other shop and
dropped in Hi-Fi Do on the way to home.
