Here comes a part-timer Natsume at Hi-Fi Do Ohsu Main Store!! Recently I have been setting up a club in Imaike. It is going to be a small but cozy club. The 46cm sub-woofer, about which I was worried, sounded well... But I am worried if the neighbors should complain about the loudness of the sound. Then, I report on the pro-audio equipment of the club. |

I thought about what kind of audio equipment I should install in the empty space of the club in terms of the size, form and category of the club, and selected the JBL JRX125 as the main speaker. Since it is for a club, I decided to choose this one of a major maker, which is sturdy and powerful enough and which does not cause sound skip even in high volume. Although I have listened to its sound only once, it gives almost perfect sound in such volume and with such tones as I have imagined, and gives good impression. However, this alone is not enough because it is a club. In order to get heavy bass sound which can fill inside the club, I further installed a 46cm sub-woofer, which is the JRX125+sub-woofer. The main speaker system was determined with these two. |

In addition, I prepared two foot-monitors of stereo for DJ monitoring, so the speakers on stage were all determined. But this is the start of next steps. Shown on the left photo, though unclear, is a compressor. In short, it is audio equipment to compress sound. For example, in vocals there are accompanying melody and vocal climax. The vocal sound in climax is louder. A compressor compresses the gap of sound pressure between the two. It is an excellent equipment!! Then I installed the compressor before the amplifier!!! Compressed, compressed!! The sound becomes thicker or not... It depends on the setting of parameter of the compressor!! A good effect completely depends upon your technique!! If you fully use the compressor, you can get a limiter's function, which leads to prevention of excessive input in speakers!! |
|
Furthermore, I adjusted the sound slightly by an equalizer and as a result, the sound became superlative!! I used a graphic equalizer for this total equalizing!! In case of singing or instrumental performance, you can use a parametric equalizer for slight adjustment, but for tone adjustment of speaker sound, a graphic equalizer is better because it is a 31-band equalizer!! |

|
I installed a Yamaha mixer with 24 channels, 6AUX and 4BUS (Sorry, I forgot the model number and could not prepare the photo...). The main system will be completed with additional detailed adjustment. Although I am still in the midst of setup, the grand opening of the club will come within this month. Upon completion, I would like to report on the total appearance of the main system. Now this week's report is over. See you! |
