With these equipments, my hard disk recording system will be complete. With a microphone, knowledge and good sense added, everyone can become a recording engineer, but not so easily. However, these equipments, whose total cost is estimated at a few hundred thousand yen, can offer you high-quality tones and a merit of easy use though it looks difficult to use them. You can get such merits more easily with these equipments than with a system of a few million yen that was prevalent a few years ago. |

We are now able to record easily at home. It is a good thing. The quality of recorded tones has been drastically enhanced for these years in regard to demo tapes of musicians without money. But the quality of CDs for sale at a price of a few thousand yen was rather lowered, not enhanced. It is a sad thing. I told you something cheeky in my report this week, but I did so wishing further enhancement of digital recording quality. Recently I bought a CD album by Tatsuro Yamashita named "Sonorite". The tones and songs are superb to the extent that I might have to withdraw all of my remarks in this report. |
