CD recommended by Mr.KondoTrust My Heart by Romi Akiyama Romi Akiyama(vo), Hiroyuki Matsushima(tp), Masaaki Ikeda(tb), Keiichi Yoshida(p) Keiji Sasaki(b), Kenichiro Murata(ds) Recorded in February 2004, TBM Record I was immediately moved by her elegant voice with fine sensibility and and passion for Jazz. Sometimes it sounded melancholy but other times it provides dynamic groove. I thought that it was real Jazz Vocal. She used to be a leader of Jazz Vocal Group “ Romi & Jeokers” and she released a solo album in 1991 if I remember right. |

Her vocal is getting more powerful and matured recently. All numbers are standard. She has been in full activity as wine adviser for these 10 years. She sings emotionally and her performance is more excellent. |
CD recommending to CappuccinoWhat do you want for "LOVE" Jyunko Ochi(vo),David Kikoski(p),EdHoward(b),Ian Froman(ds) Jyunko Ochi is a Jazz Vocalist and this is her first NY recorded album. Liner notes describes that the album shows simple and natural sound like live concert. Her voice heals and makes us relaxed. |

Her voice sounds like acceleration of superior car and she is always singing faithfully. She is a talented vacalist with various expression because of her natural voice. It makes us very relaxed. The performance by band is also efficient for her vocal. I was fascinated with the piano arrangement. |
