Danilo Rea is a pianist who was born in Itary in 1957. He only performs Canzona which is popula song in Italy. Jazz fan might think Canzona is quite different from Jazz. However, I was confused when I first listened to this CD. Reginella sounded like moody piano music. Gradually I got used to the melody and his piano performance and I was fascinated the beautiful melody of canzona.

This is not CD,but DVD produced by Sawano Kobo in Osaka. Jazz club seems to be popular in Paris. SUNSIDE is a home ground of Giovanni Mirabassi. He creates elegant piano melody with his fingers like magic and it seems that he is unified with piano.
DVD shows his finger touch clearly and it is amazing. He performs his original number at his first stage. The clear sound expanse is produced by his soft piano touch seeping over keyboard.

I can't sleep all night if a handsome man like Mirabassi plays “Lullaby" for me.
“Memento Mores" is played by the pattern that piano and bass repeats the melody and drums gradually makes the rhythm. You can feel the soul of Mirabassi in his performance.
At the second stage, he performed his standard number. "Yesterdays" is impressive number with melodious piano and bass and drums like folk instrument.
