This is the most impressive new years card which we received from Mr.Mimura of Jazz Shop "Mimura". Its design is parody of the jacket of "Waltz for Debby" of Bill Evans Trio. Most of them will disappear someday, however, some of them are loved throughout the age. "Waltz for Debby" by Bill Evans Trio of which Mr. Mimura , a shop manager of Jazz Record made parody the design made great influence to many musician ever afterward. The latest albums recorded "Waltz for Debby" will be introduce by Kon & Cap.
	Sings "Waltz for Debby"/Cheryl Bentyne Cheryl Bentyne(vo), Kenny Barron(p), Ray Drummond(b) Recorded in April,2004 Kingrecord KICJ-477 Cheryl Bentyne is recently making solo activity parting from Manhattan Transfer. This is her latest great album with Kenny Barron who was a great pianist. She sings "Waltz for Debby" which is the best number of Bill Evans in refined style with piano and bass. This album got Gold Disk Prize in the seventh by Swing Journal and also got the best recording prize of Jazz Disk in 2004.
Cheryl had more potential as vocalist than I expected. This ballad album includes not only standard, but contemporary songs. It shows she is a great solo singer. Barron's piano and her clear and sensitive voice harmonizes very well with each other. Rich and deep bass by Drummond is excellent. This is the perfect album for Jazz fans. She sings "Waltz for Debby" with piano brightly which is the most popular song among Japanese Jazz fans. It will make you relaxed.
	Anthony Wonsey/Blues for Hiroshi Anthony Wonsey(p), Richie Goods(b), Tony Reedus(ds) "2004.2.27 at Systems Two, Brooklyn,NY Anthony Wonsey always plays piano swingingly and Energetically and it is fun to hear his piano. He was greatly influenced by Nat King Cole and Thelonious Monk. He prefers to swinging song and perfect piano performance of Nat King Cole. We want to see his entertaining performance.
He performs piano elegantly with stable rhythm section in "Damn That Reality". His piano touch in "Waltz For Debby" produces rich tone and it is different from Bill Evance performance. Drummer makes brush solo performance in "Nobody Else But Me" and it is nice music for tap dance. I like drumming by Tony Reedus. Most of the numbers are medium tempo music. There is only one ballad music. He plays "The Peacocks" bluesy which was used for the movie "Round Midnight" . I also recommend this movie which shows the lifestyle of Jazz men.
	"Waltz for Debby" by Bill Evans Trio was live- recorded in Village Vanguard on June 25, 1961. 11 days later Bill lost his best bass partner Scott LaFaro by car accident 11 days later. Their fantastic performance is available only in record by an unexpected accident .
