I heard that the members of "Romantic Jazz Trio" often changes. I ordered CD of the Beatles because that "Romantic Jazz Trio" performed " And I Love Her" by John Lennon. I have fantastic memory with the Beatles and I selected it arbitrarily. There are some people who might think Ms. Cappuccino is in the same generation.
	Rubber Soul/The Beatles John Lennon(g,vo), Paul McCartney, (b,vo), George Harrison(g,vo), Ringo Starr(ds,vo) 1965.10.12 Abby Road Studio The Beatles is very famous group all over the world. They had strong influence not only in music but also in politics and culture . Their hometown was Liverpool in England. I listened to The Beatles when I was an elementary school student. In those days, LP and EP record were popular. One day separate- typed stereo system was delivered to my house by my brother's request. He was listening the Beatles songs while taking a rest after study. I was unconscious of hearing it and I had a lot of opportunities to listen to western music. I managed to sing English songs with English lyric card. Paul and Ringo , who are the original member, are still alive and well. John was shot by one of his fan and died. The youngest George Harrison died of cancer. I was a fan of John Lennon as influenced by my brother.
John Lennon was charismatic in other fields besides music through his activity to appeal peace spending many days in bed or to be a househusband. His complicated circumstances starving affection in boyhood seems to make his character unique. Later Yoko Ono may chang his warped mind and lead him to appeal " Love & Peace" to the world. "Love & Peace" is necessary message in the present world. Their album includes different music beyond the genre. "In My Life" is the most favorite song among John's numbers. There is a scene that Bette Midler as a top star visits the army and sings this song in the movie "For the boys" . She is not a typical beautiful lady but her talent for singing and playing is excellent. "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon was selected in "Mr. Holland's Opus"where Richard Dreyfuss is a music teacher in high school. Paul's song was used in the movie "I am Sam" which is the story about a mentally retarded man and his daughter.
The Sweetest Sound/Romantic Jazz Trio John Di Martino(p), Ugonna Okegwo(b), Grady Tate(ds) 2003.8.30,31 Recorded at Avatar Studio in NY As a matter of fact, I hesitated to order this album because the jacket of this album was graceless ,but I wanted to hear their performance and I ordered this album. This is a real good album though the jacket was so bad.

"La Comparsa" starts with heavy sound and there is Latin elegant melody in the middle parts. "Drume Negrita" is western taste music with interesting rhythm . "My Melancholy Baby" starts with bass by Ugonna Okegawo and his bass and vocal are well harmonized. "And I Lover Her" is a song by John Lenno. Piano performance by John Di Martino is gradually powerful , elegant and smooth. His technique of piano is fantastic. Drumming by Grady Tate is excellent. "The Sweetest Sound" title song, makes you imagine the scene of a stony road of alley. Tight brush work and stable bass performance are so cool.
I understand that we are often influenced by prejudice. I decide that I will not judge the contents from the jacket of CD or the band name. You will be fascinated with their Jazz perfromance. From Ninomiya to Ms. Cappuccino The jacket of this album made me imagine "Kanacyan" statue in Nagoya. She is 6m40 cm in height.
