I recommend you to listen to "Blue Bossa"(the third number) which is popular among Jazz fan. He makes solo bass performance with colorful tone. Right hand attack and harmony is used effectively for melancholy melody. Randy Waldman(p), who played the on "Wood" and Vinnie Colaiuta(ds) joins this album. Randy makes lyrical and melodious solo performance. Vinnie's drum is dramatic and excellent. Deep bass sound move my body and I can feel the heavy resonance to the floor in my listening room. "Wood" was a great album and "Wood 2" is so nice as "Wood". Reproduction of lively bass sound is excellent and I was fascinated with deep bass tone in this album. |

This is his forth album and he makes a great performance of ballad. First, Wynton Marsalis noticed his talent and called him to NY and let him play with Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra He works as an instructor at Lincoln Center. He is a great musician who moved Wynto Marsalis deeply. |

His first album "Manhattan Dreams" was marvelous. So, I listened to his second abum "Say it" and I was fascinated with his performance. Pianist and bassist are different from the former albums and Jon Irabagon (as) joined on his forth album "Smile" . I have never heard that Irabagon made a such speedy and young performance so long. Farinacci made him younger by his stimulous. It is preferable that Saxophone enables standard modern combo. Heavy sound of quintet is excellent. He is a young brave musician who challenges to play the work composed by Cliford Brown. I thought that Fariacci is not good on muted play but he made a skilled performance of mute on "Just in Time" in his album "Say It". It is strange that Fariacci's performance makes me interested in Jazz Trumpet. He is a new musician full of promise |
