Hi, I'm Tsutsumi of Nihonbashi Store. This is the second summer I have had since I joined Hi Fi Do. It's hot this year too. It seems the sun has been blazing continually since the rainy season started. In spite of this heat, this week I would like to introduce to you who are proceeding "Hi Fi Road" the Exclusive M5, a super-grade monaural power amplifier. |

Eighty percent of this large box is occupied by the power source that contains two extra-large Troidal transformers, each with two cords for plus and minus from the AC plug. |

A speaker with the impedance more than 8Ω can run with enough power when connected with any speaker. Especially when the former JBL and Vintage TANNOY for consumers are connected with an amplifier with decent power, the low frequency swells too much and the speaker makes the sound of drums and bass distorted in jazz and rock music. However, when the same speaker is connected with this M5, the sound in the low frequency is clearly defined, and even the low end is exactly sounded. In case of classical music and so on, the speaker offers the music with its transparent feel and on a large scale in a modest atmosphere. The M5 has something a little bit too high-grade, but its sound never becomes flat and it gives such an impression as the sound is being created a little bit far away over the speaker. However, it heats so much with the A-class 300W power. It is more heated than an ordinary tube amplifier. |
