Hello, this is Tokushige from Nihonbashi shop. This time I will introduce British-made speakers for the first time in many years. |

Just like DITTON66 we introduced before, there are quite a lot of speakers that I personally feel "Wow! What a nice pair of speakers!" among CELESTION speakers coming into our shop. So this time, I would like to focus on a bit new "SL60" (although it is 20 years old). As you can see, this is a compact speaker of 2-way encapsulated type. The dimension is 244W x 370H x 244D(mm) and it weighs 8.8kg. Since the speakers we have here come with speaker stands, each of them becomes 83cm in height with that stand. |

The unit in use is 15cm woofer, 3.5cm hard dome tweeter having 75〜20,000Hz for the sound reproducing band. The impedance is 8Ω and the sound pressure level is 82db. So you may need an amp having a certain level of driving force. I used an American-made amp which can generate low frequency for this pair of speakers, but I felt it's a little bit of a stretch for that amp to be used with the encapsulated type speakers. Instead, as may be expected of CELESTION I was impressed by the brilliant clang resonance of cymbal and the excellent vocal sounds. This pair of speakers should be perfect for persons looking for reasonable second speakers or persons who want to enjoy vocal-based songs comfortably. I think you can enjoy crisp sounds unlike with Japanese-made small speakers.
