Hello, this is Tsutsumi from Nihonbashi Store. October is ending soon, and it is getting colder suddenly day and night. I feel the autumn is becoming somewhat shorter and shorter every year. This time, I will introduce FERROGRAPH the vintage speaker from England. |

Including a white saran net, it looks quite modern in appearance. There is no level control etc. in the back but only the speaker terminal. The best feature in appearance is this triangular bass reflex port. You can see it is chocked full of acoustic materials inside. It is classy with a triangular window like the one attached to a car in old times. I saw this green Velcro strap for the first time. |

I was expecting the monitor-like sound quality since I heard that FERROGRAFE used to be a specialized manufacturer of tape recorder. So I was surprised to hear this quite loose sound. I think it won't sound so tight considering the combination of the unit for sure though, it would sound better with laid-back classical or vocal music. The performance seems quite low, so you need to hook up with a considerably high-powered amp. It wouldn't sound good easily unless you pick a high resolution playback unit. However, you would be able to listen for quite a long time since it is quite ear-friendly. To put it the other way around, this ear-friendly sound may be monitor-like. Please listen to this sound once, if you are looking for a speaker different from others. |
