Hello, I am Natsume, a super part-timer at Ohsu Head Store. I am going to introduce audio equipment for professional use in my turn from now on. In the memorable first turn of mine, I will introduce the "Compact Mizxing Console", a so called small mixer. |
As you see, this is a 4-channel mixer of the TEAC. It is not that I brought a mixer taht is accidentally located nearest to me!! Never! Let's look at the expanded photos of each channel. I will explain to you from the top in turn. |
Now this is the photo on top that shows the input gain selector. It shows the low-cut selector and the two left and right selectors that can slide. In case of a mixing console, the input gain selector on top is the most important point that determines the superiority of the mixer (though an attenuator is mainstream). The function of this part determines the superiority of tones and dynamics. Rich engineers carry around a mic preamp, which is a processor wiht only this part, so that they can make their favorite sound at any studio. Below it is the LOW CUT selector. It cuts the low range literally. |

Further below that was the equalizer section on the left photo. You can determine your favorite frequency level with the green FREQUENCY knob, and raise and lower the level of boost cut with the white LEVEL knob. The orange PAN knob on the right photo is the so-called BALANCE of audio equipment that determines the localization such as the cymbal sound from the right and the guiter sound from the left. |

Last but not least, the "fader" is the face of a mixer. Although the sound is very good, you will lose your interest if the fader is cheap. A high-class fader has the fitting feed of your fingers, the smoothness in sliding and the slightest heaviness!! I have no words to express it!! On the right photo is the VU meter. Differently from the peak program meter, it is a meter with a function similar to the human sense of hearing. This meter is so important that the sound will be quite distorted if you do not pay attention to PEAK!! The sound will be destroyed!! It will skip the speaker!! As everyone knows, we suffer from a live stage... |
Although I explained only the introduciton of the audio equipment, I am planning to show you photo of sudio equipment that is not included in the inventory of Hi Fi Do (though this is still a plan and not determined). I will report to you so that you can have an image of the process of an concert or recording. We would appreciate your continued support!!!! |
