Nowadays I can feel the gradual change of the season from summer to winter. Last time I introduced horn speakers to blow off late-summer heat but I would like to introduce small-scale speakers quietly this time by trying out various things. Book shelf type speakers have their limit due to its compact size though; there are many kinds of them since manufacturers are elaborating by just that much. I think you have a lot of options depending on your budget from low priced speakers to high-end speakers. |

First, a rare speaker "TOTEM model1" made in Canada. This speaker is equipped with 15cm woofer manufactured by DYNAUDIO. The DYNAUDIO speakers were not even available on SUTEREO GUIDE at that time. Did we have an OEM supplying time? The sound quality is sharp with the awesome localization feel just like a monitor speaker but unlike DYNAUDIO speakers. The sound field you can't even imagine from compact size speakers has a good quality worth over 270,000 yen of the regular price. I want this one… |

This speaker, U.S. "JBL Ti1000", is familiar to you all for the original monitor speaker. It is a little bit unique for its trapezoid shape. The tone is clear and non-messy since the vibration absorption material sandwiched by MDF materials prevents the resonance. However, this is not JBL for nothing. It sure creates deep sound. I feel the sound from low region in my stomach. And the sound in high region is securely deep as well. This time I wanted to listen quietly though, it's good to see that the capacity has no limit even if I turn up the volume. Used price for a pair: 130,000 yen (Tax included) |

"ROGERS LS3/5A" the well-known British monitor speaker The sound in mid region is incredible! The spec cannot describe how deep the tone is at all. It goes over neither super low region nor super high region. However, I knew the feel that the sound comes out from middle is only available with "ROGERS". This speaker is pretty affordable like 79,800 yen as the used price for a pair, so please try this out if you have a high-end system. This is also my push for some dude who has started listening to records recently. If you don't know what to have, this is the one you need. |

British item again here. This item is from famous brand name "CELESTION" But this speaker contrasts relatively with Rogers. The sales point of this is the sound extension rather than the wide ranged sound. They are great with string music. The tone is very ear-friendly, rhythmical with little peculiarity armed with a good sound linkage. The magnificent-scale sound from the compact body will fill listeners with tenderness. Used price for a pair: 79,800 yen It seems to go well with cheese than saury pike. |

The last item is from Japan. "Victor SX-V1-M" Maybe because of the adoption of a unit manufactured by KurtMuller, this speaker sounds warm and soft. Maybe this item is seasonable autumn speaker. I wonder if the sound is like this when they pursue the musicality not the image of a full of upbeat features which are in common with Japanese speakers. When I first listened, the sound was kind of simple but I could listen for the longest time. The tone is resistible and sinks into your mind to make me want to switch CDs one after another. Used price for a pair: 85,000 yen. Comes with speaker stands This is my best push suitable to the theme of this time. |

There seems a lot of incoming merchandises made in Europe when it comes to compact speakers. They are mostly used quietly in bedrooms or study rooms, this is why they have a balanced small volume. Also, the good thing about them is that they can bring out the amp power even with the small volume, though they are low-efficient speakers. Book shelf type speakers will save your space. You can compare at any time, so please drop by to see the difference. I, Sone, am happy to serve you at Ohsu Main Store. Feel free to bring your favorite CDs and visit out store! We are looking forward to serving you here! |
