My Audio and Jazz History " B&W Nautilus 802" Kenji Kondo Curvaceous ness of the "head" to come to stroke involuntarily. Anyhow, it is the greatest feature of B&W Nautilus 802 to make this squawker into a peculiar form like a bulb. The enclosure of woofer back is also the round design. It is just a unique near future form. |

The form of a squawker is contributing not only to a design side but to improvement in sound quality greatly. Although there is a high-end model called N801 use one 15 inch woofer and sounds low-range sonorously in this series, these N802 is the model which aimed at the speediness of low-range and the merit of a reaction by using two small but powerful 8 inch woofer. Although woofer is small, in the speaker of Europe, it has the large voice coil (it is strange), and has a powerful magnetic circuit. I think that it excels in driving force. I was very surprised to try listening. It is very high resolution sound quality. The music of each genre sounds attractively. (A photograph is quoted from a past information database) |

I listened to the piano trio of favorite jazz, Stellar "New York trio". The forcibleness and instantaneous power of a touch of Bill Charlap are excellent, and the very beautiful reverberation was made to hear it. Moreover, the sound quality in a base has thick harmony, has freshness like the swelling of the air, and becomes entangled with a grand piano with sufficient balance. A piano and a base are comfortable and have momentum. Moreover, the duet of piano and base of jazz, especially I feel good at the low-range of a wood base. There were too much momentum and relaxation, the density of one sound one sound was high, and the profound piano sound was also expressed. This speaker balanced to high order origin that is the high level of the resolution covering all zones and the lively feeling of a lively motion.
