My audio and jazz history The 32nd episode, "Mclntosh power amp MC602, Chapter 4: Into the supreme music space" by Kenji Kondo on September 16 Mclntosh has been an indicator of the world. Mclntosh never lost the lead to other manufacturers in the overwhelming credibility and rich, fresh and minute beauty of the sound in the end. Mclntosh has established the monumental position aloof from others as well as its original output transformer technology. "MC602" the most advanced high-power stereo-spec power amp. "C46" the latest Mclntosh control amp. Above all things I enjoy listening to jazz with a good combination of Mclntosh which leads today's prime of the digital age.

	I connected C46 to MC602 with the XLR balanced cable, the RCA cable and the AC cable. Lastly I got puzzled by whether RCA or XLR is good for the SACD player though, after I had it make sound with them, I found out that it produces a little more comfort sound and clear and glossy tone with the XLR balanced cable as I thought. It seems good with the XLR balanced cable. And I finished connecting wires without any trouble. Now let's give an audition. The demo album is "Brian Bromberg/wood 2" KICJ-488 the new album of the bass series. As soon as I heard the first sound, I was like "Good, excellent! Wow.. it is totally different!" What an awesome reproducibility of wood bass sound sinking deep which I couldn't expect from MC500. Of course there is no distortion or noise feeling at all even if I raise in high range a lot from the minute level. I was wrapped richly in the sound pressure without noticing it went up since the S/N ratio was pretty high. I was like "My god! It's totally awesome!!" and clasped my arms around my knees.
Also I listened to trumpet sound from "Smile/Dominick Farinacci" MYCJ-30330. The crisp sound quality of mid and high range produces a speed feeling and the trumpet is drawn vividly between speakers. I could fully feel the expansiveness of the space and I was staggered by a balanced, pleasantly sharp and dynamic Hi-FI sound for a while. The more important thing was that I didn't get tired of listening even with the original-scale sound volume for a long time. Moreover, after I finished listening I got wrapped around in the comfortable atmosphere somehow. The most excellent pair of Mclntosh creates the atmosphere that you can pleasantly enjoy Jazz music focusing on a powerful sound image description. I enjoyed the best pleasure of owing the audio equipment.
The blue eyes of the power amp and the illumination of the control amp are fantastically beautiful and make viewers feel richer and happier. My heart gets so excited just by thinking that they produces the reproducibility of the high-quality and dynamic yet real and awesome sound quality. I will get attracted to the audio world and Jazz music more and more into the supreme music space.
