My Audio and Jazz History The 35th episode: "Super-Low Frequency Electromagnetic Wave Oscillator" By Kenji Kondo on October 7 Whenever I hear that a certain audio accessory "has an effect on improvement of tones" and I am interested in it, I feel like trying it out by all means. If I prefer the effect, immediately I purchase it. This week, I tried out an RR-77, super-low frequency electromagnetic wave oscillator of the Acoustic Revive. |

Without touching other equipment, this brought about outstanding improvement of tones. With this considerable effect found out, I decided at once to purchase it. (I also use an RD-2, demagnetizer for CDs and DVDs.) At first, I had thought this is completely an occult product. Then, I was surprised at the effect on improvement of tones in my first tryout. In 1954, a German scientist Dr. W.O. Schumann discovered that the maximum resonance frequency of the earth's electromagnetic field is 7.83Hz, and this is chemically verified as the "Schumann Resonance". This RR-77 is an upgraded model of the first product RR-7 and incorporates an antenna of non-inductive coil that is called "zero magnetic field coil". The RR-77 is upgraded into a low distortion oscillator using a dual operating amp IC. First of all, I set it up on a bookshelf (2m high) on the left side of my listening position. (It is recommended that the higher the setup place is <at least 1.5m or above>, the greater the effect is.) I first listened to "Smile/Dominick Farinacci" MYCJ-30330 carefully and found that the effect on improvement of tones was increased. With trumpet sound thicker and trumpet phrase more sensitive, the depth of sound and signal-to-noise ratio surely seemed enhanced. Furthermore, the sound became richer and more expressive so I was able to feel relaxed. The trumpet sound changed from the previous exciting one to natural and smooth one. Besides, I hear many of the RR-77 have already been used at recording studios and mastering studios of major record makers. Well, this is it! Once I used it, I cannot do without it. |
