My audio and jazz history The 36th episode, "AC outlet stabilizer", by Kenji Kondo on October 14 A lot of ACOUSTIC REVIVE products are being introduced lately. This is because their products are prominently good in sound quality and reproducibility among others. This time we also introduced the AC outlet stabilizer "CS-2" of latest release from ACOUSTIC REVIVE, and I would like to report on that effect.

As you already know well, ACOUSTIC REVIVE is popular due to the development of unique products. The dramatic tone quality has been realized with this AC outlet stabilizer "CS-2" which is to control the resonance of the outlet metal fittings caused by 50Hz/60Hz, that is to say, the vibration from speakers by inserting it in the unoccupied outlet like an power supply tap, socket outlet or equipment auxiliary power unit and also to prevent a diving of noise from the metal case. The AC outlet vibrates by the electromagnetic force through the AC current, so the pressure of the contact point fluctuates and the fluctuations of the contact resistance lowers the sound quality of the amp which creates the power supply noise. Then, this "CS-2" is to suppress the vibration of the outlet and to decrease the power supply noise caused by the vibration. This is the rhodium-plated brass plug press-fit into a round stick of the aluminum alloy, which is then double hardened with hard polyolefin and put in the aluminum alloy exterior of 38mm in diameter. This kind of idea and development is exquisite and preferable at the same time. I tested the effect by inserting it in the same power supply tap RTP-6evo of ACOUSTIC REVIVE.
First I listened to this new album, "Swinging always /Mitsuaki Kishi" CMSB-28004. I was actually impressed by the start-up of the crisp piano sound by Mitsuaki Kish and I felt that the SN feel and transparent feel have enhanced a lot, though the recording of this album seemed a bit mild. The reproducibility is sharp and clear even in the space expression. I like the fact that it is clear and colorless and has no side effect. Not an advertising pitch for whisky though, it is exactly "Nothing added and nothing subtracted".
	I found out that it has a similar effect with the socket outlet (WATTaGATE-381) too. And this makes me want to increase two or three more than only one. Since it doesn't use any circuit at all, it is user-friendly and also effective at the same time. It is excellent in pulling out the high-quality sound without lowering the sound volume. It seems that the audio equipment accessories are still developing.
