My audio and jazz history, The 42nd episode, "High quality headphone", by Kenji Kondo on November 25 We can't make sounds that loud under today's audio listening scene. I think there would be not enough conditions where audio listeners can comfortably listen to their favorite music, since they get influenced by the environment as well as time limit. Generally speaking, it's already midnight when people can finally find comfortable times of the day for themselves. I think the reality is that nobody can put music on that loud even if they want to relax and enjoy their favorite music. And the headphone is helpful in such a case. The headphone proves its worth especially in that kind of environment. It is also a fact that people have become more interested in high-quality headphones that support the speaker system in recent years.

I have heard from a store staff that headphones are selling pretty well these days. And high-quality and luxurious ones seems more popular than small and lightweight ones. Even though the audiophiles have become increased and widespread though, only the headphone might be the best audio equipment for the best sound. You may want to understand like the speaker has come close to your ears in order to avoid vague factors but not as a substitute for the speaker. I am a regular user of SONY MDR-Z900 now though; I wonder when I use the headphone usually. It would be when I cannot turn up the volume late at night, when I cannot enjoy the music without the headphone since it is noisy around me, or when I enjoy the music with portable audio equipment. Whatever the case may be, I use the headphone when I am in a disadvantaged environment for listening to music. The high sound quality next-generation audio disc like SACD and DVD have spread for real and the music has started coming with a video of live concert and so on for DVD video. And, high performance "headphone amp" specially made for the high sound quality reproduction seems very popular recently among audio nuts though, some expensive ones cost the same as fancy pre main amps. Here I want to fully enjoy my kind of music at a comfortable volume. However, the truth is, it's difficult to find a moment where satisfies my desire in my present living environment. Then what is helpful is "Headphone listening" which allows you to easily enjoy the high sound quality music without worrying about the sound leakage around you, configuring difficult setting or improving the environment of your listening room. "When closed my eyes, I see my favorite artist right in front of me." Why don't we easily enjoy the good music with high quality headphones and have sweet dreams in the lengthening nights of autumn from now on?
