Quiz: Where on earth did Ninomiya go? Ninomiya took a trip to a country for 5 days from Sept 14 to 18, 2005. It wasn't raining that day. When I was looking at horses eating grasses under dull skies, the poem by Tatsuji Miyoshi popped to my mind. "It is not surprising even if 100 years flash by in this instant of time."
Quiz 1: This scenery is similar to that of Kusasenri in Aso. A lake seen in the back of the grass farm has something in common with Lake Akan-ko in Hokkaido. What is the creature which inhabits only in these two lakes in the whole world? Hint: Its color and shape looks like the mascot of EXPO 2005 AICHI JAPAN.
The volcanism is active in this country. You can see vapors all over the country. You can take a hot spring bath since the hot spring water comes out from the faucet in the hotel. Inconveniently the shower had hot spring water too. My hair got dried out since I couldn't use fresh water. Quiz 2: This hot spring is a famous sightseeing spot where squirts up the hot water high at intervals of 5 minutes. What is this kind of hot spring called, which keeps squirting hot water or water vapor cyclically? This is the biggest waterfall in this country. The water runs down on the step-like lava bed of 70 meters in width and 15 – 30 meters in height per step with creating clouds of spray.

Quiz 3: There was a plan of establishing a facility in this waterfall with the foreign capital. What kind of facility is that? Hint: They say the major industries of this country are the fishery industry, the marine product processing industry and the metal (aluminum refinement) industry.
Autumn came earlier than Japan. Bushes have been colored beautifully. In this season local people are engaged in blueberry picking.
