1. "Walking around Akihabara" by Taro Akiba

"Walking around Akihabara #4"

Before going to Akihabara to buy condensers, I dropped in Hi-Fi DO to
talk to the manager Kawai.
"The sound has been much better then before by replacing the interior
wiring in amplifiers." I said.

A manager asked me, "Have you already replaced? What are you looking
for today?" "Yes, I'm going to do so. Do you have them?" I said.
"I'm sorry but we do not have. You had better to look around some
shops under a railroad bridge." he said.
As he said, I looked around some shops which sell different kinds of
audio parts, but I could not hind particular ones which I wanted.
Then, I went to A audio shop which my friend recommended before.
I was so glad that condensers were on display.
To my surprise, the price of condensers was high at JPY300 apiece.
I just had to buy 4 condensers otherwise I would not fine them at any
shops.
The expectation of sound after replacing condensers was exciting.
As soon as I came home, I started to replace one by one marking as
they were without making a mistake.

To be continued.

2. Disassembly and Reassembly of NAKAMICHI DRAGON by Yukihiro Satake

I have disassembled a cassette deck 'DRAGON' which made by a
world-famous Japanese audio maker.
It was produced in 1982 that was the first auto reverse cassette deck
in the world.
Auto azimuth adjustment system, NAAC, was installed as the highest
mechanical technology. Faft flutter ratio was 0.019%. An evaluation
was the most valuable in those days.
The sound is precise, only a halfway adjustment fails to bring out the
best performance in a tape.
It is an incredible cassette deck as I have heard so much about.
I have disassembled it having help from Hi-Fi Do.
