Autumn is the nice season for travel. I am traveling in Italy when this newsletter is mailed to our readers. Last time I traveled to German I made a mistake to put a cheese knife in my baggage carelessly. It was found by security check and the officer opened my bag. First he checked it dubiously but finally he understood it was only cheese knife and gave it back to me. If I make same mistake this time, I can not get on the plane because security check is getting more strict recently.

1. CD Picks of the week - "CDs attached Free gift"

CDs attached free gift are introduced this week.
Mr. Kondo recommends The Great Jazz Trio/Collaboration of Elvin Jones Memorial album. Free gift is Single CD and photograph of Elvin Jones.
Ms. Cappuccino recommends Ancestry by Kiyoshi Kitagawa who is a bassist of Kenny Barron Trio as his first leader album.
Free gift of this CD is DVD.

2. Walking around Akihabara

I brought Marantz CD player to Hi-Fi Do by bicycle today.
Comfortable sound by JBL speaker fascinated me which was connected to tube amplifier . I could not tell the brand of apmlifier but the tube was 2A3 push-pull type.
I went to parts shops around Akihabara after listening to it for a while.I found condenser 0.47 type and bought 4 pieces.

There used to be a lot of audio shops, however, now figure shops are increasing in stead of audio ones and there are many "OTAKU" people. I was disappointed to know that major audio shop had moved. I dropped in several parts shops and found volume of Violet which is out of production now and bought it. I wanted to listen to the sound of high- end system and visited some shop at the 7th floor. I heard the piano sound like live performance at the moment that the door of elevator opened. It was the first time for me to hear such excellent sound by high-end audio system. I went home when I listened to it for half an hour.
I thought high-end system sounded well by their combination.
