Comment by Mr. KondoJunior Mance is a long standing famous Jazz pianist. This is his latest album, His piano performance seems to be presented best in blues.Bluesy style through his long experience makes such an excellent album. His light touch technique and swingy mood is fascinating . The sound quality is great in lively Mance's piano performance with dynamic back musician. Harmonized sound by trio is fantastic. |
Comment by Ms. CappuccinoJunia Manth is called a Master of Jazz pianist . He is now 76 years old and he looks younger for his age . In general, Jazz musician looks younger than their ages. Music may keep them younger. "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To" is a Jazz standard number. Swingy piano, rhythmic drum and bass make great harmony. The next number is blues including funky drum solo performance. "Funky Darnival" starts with drum and it includes up-tempo drum solo. This album shows how Junior Mance is a great musician. |

CD recommended by Mr. KondoPlay the Blues/ Ray Bryant Ray Bryant(b), Ray Drummond(b), Kenny Washington(ds), Hugh McCracken(hca) Recorded in September, 1999 in NY M & I company MYCUJ-30266 2004/5/19 released Ray Bryant is the top Jazz musician. He makes active performance to the world still now with Sony Rolins. He is one- year younger than Sonny Rollins and they played together in Max Roach Quintet in the 1950s. Tenor Sax by Rollins is great but Piano solo performance by Bryant is so bluesy and it always make us moved. His performance notices us that the power of jazz is based on blues. |
Hugh McCracken, a famous harmonica player, joins as a special guest and performs his favorite repertoire ". This album exactly shows that Ray Bryant is still competitive with other younger jazz musicians. |

Music industry is very competitive recently and many new singers appear and disappear. There are only a few songs which moves people.I found that so many emotional songs were included in Ray Charles album. He passed away in June last year. Excellent album recorded his duet songs with great friends are released. The famous musicians names will make you listen to it. His voice will gradually move you. It is a real tasteful song. His biographical movie "Ray" will be on January 29. |
