Autumn Leaves/French Jazz Trio Christian Gentet(b), Matias Piazrro(p), John Betsch(ds) Recorded in France in September ,2004 King record KICJ-484 , Released dated 2004/3/24 The leader of this group is Christian Gentet. He is a member of 6 bass unit "Orchestra Contrabass" . "Autumn Leaves" is their second album released after their Debut album "Nostalgia"(KICJ-466) in January 2004. I have the first album and both albums are filled with French taste.
	Leaves" and "La Mer" by C. Trenet, "La Javanaise" by S.Gainsbourg. There are a lot of solo part by bass to emphasize beat. It sounds quite different music performed by other piano-leading trio and it makes me feel like to drink rich taste wine. Sophisticated performance by Gentet is impressive. I really expect their performance in the future. French Jazz Trio is an excellent piano trio for adult.

	We can feel a breath of nature in this season. I hope you got happy memories of successive holidays in May. Movie's music makes you imagine the scene of the movie. This album provides you fantastic film music with excellent performance by Jazz Musicians.
"Romeo & Juliet" , "Elvira Madigan" and " The way we were" are tragic love story. Olivie Antounes Trio performs sad melody of " Elvira Madigan" with sullen tone. "13 Jours En France" is a documentary film of the tenth Winter Olympic in France in 1968. Very beautiful music far from the image of this movie is performed by European Jazz Trio. Art Farmer in "The Windmills of your Mind" and Dominick Farinacci in "The Summer Knows" make a great performance. I was moved by Barbra Streisand's song in the movie "The Way We Were", however, Kenny Drew(p) and Niels Henning Orsted Pedersen(b) make romantic performance in this CD. This is so-called healing album, but Bluesy performance and swingy piano touch by Junior Mance in " The Shadow of Your Smile" are excellent. Bibraphone by Joe Locke in"The Days of Wine And Roses" is fantastic. Any fan of Jazz, movie , piano trio can enjoy this album.
