Walking around Akihabara by Taro Akiba The sign of "Sound" caught my eyes when I was walking around back street filled with PC shops behind Cyuo avenue. I approached "Sound" shop. The old man around 70 years old said , "Why don't you drop in and try to listen?". I found that there was a strange speaker which I had never watched. Its shape was square and flat. http://www.hifido.co.jp/merumaga/tarou/041210/indexe.html I was surprised to hear loud and powerful sound produced by it. It was different sound by normal round type speaker and I could not explain how it sounded. I thought it might be real trendy sound. The storekeeper explained that it was original speaker unit developed by his shop. He has 50 years' experience for audio and looked nice man. I was completely satisfied with his answers to various kinds of questions which I made. It was the first time for me to see such powerful units though I had ever watched many kinds of used items in Hi- Fi Do.I thought this speaker would make me more interested in audio. Akihabara is the most fascinating town filled with electric shops in Japan and it is interesting to walk around there because we can find attracitive shops here and there even in the small alley.
